It's really beyond my understanding why would C team keep procrastinating on it, unless it costs a fortune to get it introduced by MA...Just novelty and variety would bring tons of new ppl who never been to Cyrene, even if the stats are more or less like pixie or musca. And some of those new may stay like ref heart mission has shown. I would understand if it were so important for hard launch, but can't really see why that would be. Meanwhile ppl keep going to ark and stick there...

Hey Everyone!

I can honestly say its on our internal road map. However, there is a few things we have to complete before we're happy with our progress. I understand how frustrating this can be for players who completed their mentorship on Cyrene or players still waiting to complete. We will look at a few things before announcing the release of future armor set or other items. Majority of this reason is I hate to promise something on behalf of Cyrene and team and we will not be able to provide as we have in the pass. Like with future items once the final design and the correct stats are applied we will get approval before release.

Why just not push it to be the next thing released? It will not negatively affect your roadmap in any way and just make people happy. Push all the little things from your roadmap forward to make it seem like you're doing something instead of working on the biggest thing then the smaller things and having nothing to show for it... It's just fucking free armor just give it away already... It can't take more then a day to design a recolor of some other armor...

You don't even choose stats for this armor, that is all done by MA, it would just be the same stats are Arkadias armor... There is no coding just a simple graphic to do...

it might be a little work, Toulan had a nightmare getting it out there. stats will vary a little i'm sure, hopefully a more electric focus as electric is very common here

I don't know who gets to choose, but Musca Adjusted is slightly different from Pixie Adjusted. Not in total protection, but in its distribution on the damage types. For this reason I am using both. If the C-team can do anything about it, then another slight variation would increase motivation also for players who are beyond graduation and this way make it sellable better. E.g. imp/cut/stab like Pixie, but then either burn/shrap/elec or burn/shrap/cold for the rest would suit the locale nicely.

Ahh if the stats are different best to just wait then. Don't want to set stats then when release comes all the mobs do different damage. It needs acid protection for sure for example at current climate but that could change

San

Sandal San Tolk
It doesn't need acid specifically, there are enough alternatives at least at this level (a high-level acid armour is a different thing and would be in high demand, think Stolen Imperium and its success). Shrapnel is what would set it apart and this is the only planet where it is useful. Maybe we can get more maturities of Drill Bots and Vortex on the levels reachable with disciple armour, there are some gaps. It pays to keep an eye on what other planets have and complement rather than copy.

I liked San's concept to have a complementary set of protection.
But it has to be useful for Cyrene mobs.

I liked what Arkadia did with their set, how it's geared for ark mobs of certain types and levels that new or casual players will likely hunt after graduating.

From reading this thread and just thinking about Cyrene mobs I expected Cold or Electric protection to be most needed, with Acid as close 3rd place.
But after looking at Cyrene mobs, I was wrong.

Started off by looking up how many armor sets offer some those protections being discussed.
Entropedia + sort by column gives a rough-approximation: 75 shrapnel, 80 electric, 86 cold, 90 acid

Then looked up Cyrene mob stats:
Cyrene has 44 Mob types and sorted by damage type:
13 Stab, 18 Cut, 28 Impact, 9 Penetration, 3 Shrapnel, 11 Burn, 4 Cold, 5 Acid, 5 Electric
*Need damage types for: for Divine Golem, Nimet, Old Jack, Zil'zik, Terranix

Then looked at mobs I believe newer/casual players would hunt for a bit after graduating.
*Also FAP mission mobs, dailys, and new player missions.
Crystal Pede, Jellyworm, Dire Weed, Tide Claw, Scout Bots, Panleon, Merefolken, Drill Bots,

Pleak, Sea Wraith, Dusters, Tree Dragons, Mutated Dire Weeds, Empis Wasp, Hackfin, Living Vortex, Swamplurker, and the Lone Whiskerfish.

Cold:
++ Great for merfolken for almost all maturities and both bosses
+ Good idea for Tideclaws
+ Good for team hunting *Golems too. (*imo new/casual players will need armor & team hunt)
- Disciple sets are not for hunting Great Sea Beast Lazidol

Shrapnel:
+ Good idea for Drill Bot
+ Good idea for Living Vortex (lower level ones at least)
+ fairly good idea for Jellyworms
- But no 100% Shrapnel damage dealing mobs

Electric:
- Not needed for scoutbots since their pretty easy without protection.
- Disciple sets are not for hunting Skreel!!! (just as adj.Musca isn't for hunting Scoria on Ark...)
- Sea Wraith has mixed damage easily hunt without electric protection up to soldier then huge leap in damage of

the next maturity.

Acid:
- No 100% acid damage dealing mobs.
- Lots of armors (including both disciple sets) and plates already available.
- Not seeing any Cyrene mobs at new/casual player levels that really need acid.

etc.
etc.
etc.

Based on the needs for new-casual player level hopefully Cyrene disciple armor stats should be approximately:
6 Stab, 7 Cut, 8 Impact, 0 Penetration, 4 Shrapnel, 4 Burn, 6 Cold, 0 Acid, 0 Electric

For example:
DiscipleArmors.jpg

For me if the Cyrene TT set looked more tactical-ops/halo but with smoky tinted see-through face plate, I'd likely buy a set asap, or a duster/mad max/steampunked look... Cyrene Devs have so many options.
Anyways just some crazy speculations.

Good post, Nimet is Electric btw. But that said yeah I think cold might be better, looking at the low lvl Cyrene armors for the same three (Acid/Cold/Elec) and UL only there is no Acid but as you stated there isn't much need here atm, only 1 Cold, The Turrelion with 3 (disregarding Elite as its not lootable) and Elec has 2 sets, Pilot 3 and Ranger 10 both pretty cheap too.

My version (total 35 like other graduation armors)

Stab 11 Cut 7 Impact 4
Musca has equal distribution of c/s/i, Pixie is tilted towards Impact, why not have a set tilted the other way. It'd be maybe a bit less useful outright but would make a perfect match for 5A plates (4 cut 7 impact).

Shrap 3 Pen 3 Burn 7
Tilted towards Burn which is done not only by bots but also Paneleon/Zeladoth.

Cold 0 Acid 0 Electric 0
There are scores of armors with low-level exotic protection. How many people in Koroma, Kobold, Goblin or A.R.C. Ranger have you seen lately? None, most likely, as those armors aren't really sought after. As for Cold, we already have a plate for it.

I added A.R.C. Hypothetical armor to Entropedia for testing purposes.

Feel free to mess with it. :) (remember Armor Adviser works correctly only for unplated scenarios)

(first results: my version is good for jellyworm and living vortex (although overprotecting for smaller maturities), also dire weed; not much different from musca/pixie for drill bot; sucks outright for paneleon/zeladoth. More research needed, it seems :))

TY Paul and gtk nimet is electric.

(PARSED) More research needed, it seems :))
Haruto some interesting ideas too, and didn't know entropedia could test things like that nice!
I was surprised yours has 0 for cold but as you pointed out it's a bit more specialized for certain mobs.
For "more research" click Data Errata in my post above to see what I looked at, so maybe you could explore some new areas with fresh eyes?

Forgot to mention I also looked at a very handy website (bookmark it ) http://cyrenesecrets.com/mobs/

I admit kinda keeping two platings in mind Imperium Armor Plating I, and Ozpyn Cold Protector (L).
* Imperium are free from missions and cheap to repair, 1 imp, 1 pen, 1 burn
* Ozpyn Cold are craftable by any level I think? The extra 7 cold would help newbies get those pesky merfolken.
Heard Ripper hide is super rare (sadly) & won't mention Ripper Hide Armor Plate (L), 10 cut, 25 burn :(

Maybe the Cyrene Devs may consider adding a a new ranked mission for new blueprints to make new plates???
Perhaps Imperium Armor Plating II for more electric and acid protection? Imperium Armor Plating III for burn, stab and cut. Plating IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, etc. As long as new plates are complementary with disciple armor to hunt Cyrene mobs... :bduh:
Probably getting ahead of everything there, lets wait for the disciple armor then bug them for plates. :D

Hey Everyone!

I like the feedback everyone has put in, especially the type of damage the armor should offer. I like how the community has come together to work on ideas to better Cyrene. This will be a thread I will keep an eye on and watch for more suggestions.

Okay... so my first attempt was not really successful.

Thoughts: probably went too low on Impact. For the second attempt, I might also give up on Burn (there's Turrelion Silverstitch for that) and add some Acid instead (Goblin isn't easily available on Cyrene, and plurkers are nasty).

Anyone can do better? ;) I've renamed it (proposed Cyrene graduation armor) to make it even more obvious it's not an existing item. Go ahead, try your numbers!

A side thought: should this end up in, for example, an armor set with a decent Stab/Acid protection that's nevertheless too much for Young Empi... is there anything to keep Cyrene from releasing Mature Empi and Old Empi? ;)
