MECH Warriors

    Hi Cyrene team

    I just spent a few hours trialling the game. MECH Warrior online. The controls on the various classes of MECHs were interesting, but what I saw was the extreme potential for use in PvP in Entropia Universe.

    My suggestions are these to make Cyrene the MECH centre of Entropia Universe
    1. Create a PvP stadium for MECH battles and a large PvP based land area (Lootable and non-lootable) It will allow players to put various types of MECHs up against each other and show off their modifications.

    2. Different classes of MECHs. Due to the close combat nature of MECHs I don't see LIMITED(L) Mechs lasting very long. I strongly suggest creating a selection of UnLimited (UL) MECHS for all budgets. As they can be used as weapons allow them to be Tiered which will improve stats in Speed, etc.

    3. Allow these MECHs to have their Structural Integrity upgraded just like Motherships and Privateers

    4. Have at least 5 Classes of MECHs
    4a. MECH Mk1 (L): This will be the baby of MECHs, it will be Limited and crafted. It will be mainly for those players who just want a cool mode of transport or want to get used to fighting with MECHs in a cost effective manner.

    4b. MECH Mk2: Class 1 Scout MECH (UL)
    - This MECH will be looted on Cyrene, Speed 85km/h, SI 625 to a max upgrade of 20000

    4c. MECH Mk3: Class 2 Combat MECH (UL)
    - This MECH will be looted on Cyrene, Speed 75km/h, SI 1250 to a max upgrade of 40000

    4d, MECH Mk4: Class 3 Assault MECH (UL)
    - This MECH will be looted on Cyrene, Speed 65km/h, SI 2500 to a max of 60000

    4e. MECH Mk5: Class 4 Battle MECH (UL)
    - This MECH will be looted on Cyrene, Speed 55km/h, SI 5000 to a max of 80000

    This variety will allow players to pick and choose their style of fighting and the max SI they can afford.

    But there is more, obviously there must be the mother of all MECHs. The MECH Predator Series. These will be very rare to loot, but command respect on the battlefield. An asset in any MECH battle group. With a Speed of 90km/h and SI 10000 to a max upgrade of 100000 these rare models will be devastating and you definitely want one of these in your soc.

    Now, I talk about all these UL MECHs being looted, but how will that help the economy on Cyrene.
    Well, the weapons for these MECHs will come from Cyrene BPs made from Cyrene looted materials. The weapons will of course be Limited(L). Everything from Laser, BLP to rockets.

    Also I forgot to add in the skills. The MECHs can only be used effectively once you have reached the level, kinda like SIB.

    I truely think adding a MECH system like this will be a great way to put Cyrene on the EU map! I hope you take these suggestions into consideration.

    UL mech would be nice... but i doubt that's gona be the case im thinking the mech is just gona be another expensive toy to play with

    I think they have to be UL for the close combat nature. The weapons can be Limited of course, but at least the basic machine can be UL. In terms of cost, each class of MECH will be priced as per level of speed and SI. Also I forgot to add in the post that there should be a new set of skills associated with the MECHs. So if you dont have the skills, you can't use the high level MECH effectively regardless of your PED card balance.

    MECH Weapons Systems
    MECH Gunner

    I so hope Cyrene Dev team make this happen, it would be bloody awesome!

    Nice idea but there is one huge downside in this. Maybe for a few days/weeks players will actually fight with them but after that spending countless PED just to take down ~80k SI and get nothing in return (as probably the other mech owners wouldn't have loot either) is not worth it. Even in PVP event with prizes that would be one expensive event to participate for those who will loose.

    It will be the same as with HUB. For the first it was kinda fun to fight but then money factor kicked in and most of the players realised that they better go play other shooter games than fight with 3 other and loose money at the same time.

    Have to agree to this.

    True, spending a few hundred Ped taking down a SI 80000 is kinda pointless unless there is a reward. I guess MindArk could help by giving all players entering PvP a loot variable. Say I enter PvP with my SI 80000 MECH. TunerS takes me out, swirles appear and he globals. After all, by killing me he has spent ammo, and decayed to do so. But while I write this I see the next problem, players would happily shoot each other all day....how does this situation be resolved?

    not so happily if MECHs would be (L) cuz in pvp combats u lose TT of vech.

    Anyway, since there is an ammo refund in pvp when u got to buy antitoxin shot, then pvp in mech/vech could be made same way - to go to pvp area in mech/vech, u got to buy ie. CombatFuel. The cost of death should depend on SI of vechicle, giving the killer a chance of global.

    It could work same way as fueling vech with oil and its usage - u can tank vech/mech 1000peds with CombatFuel, but if u die, u lose only the amout that depends on ur vech SI.

    Also i think that all vechicles should be able to damage players in pvp, but same rule should be made - to do so, u need CombatFuel.
