Wings and Base Jumping

I noticed that some of the Cyrene armor will have wings. It would be awesome if they were functional and could allow the wearer to glide down to earth. I'm imagining a kind of pseudo-vehicle that an avatar could only use for mind-blowingly awesome jumps (or "falling in style"), so all the traditional controls would be available, except for thrust. I posted the same idea last year in another forum about wings in general, and it hasn't happened yet, so I'm hoping the Cyrene team could make my wish come true

If the wings allowed you to actually fly then i am opposed as i like vehicles space ground air etc but to glide down the side of a mountain or glide safely to the ground after leapeing from tall buildings hey sure why not

Right. Since they wouldn't have thrust, you could only use them for gliding. I think it would be pretty fun/cool. Probably wouldn't add much to the game-play since everything you could do with gliding you probably could do with flying vehicles, but I think it's different enough to be worthwhile.

Might I suggest that you go to the Janus Gateway TP where the big falls are ... I had the experience last night of swimming across from the TP (short distance) and being led by friends (Mac and Calli) to a jumping place into the water below the falls (nice long jump and you won't die), and you can swim to the steps that lead you up into the City of Janus to explore the area.

I think that area is amazing, and the falls are now my absolute favorite place.

Oh man, yea! Janus is stunning! I was very impressed with the level of detail even on such a massive scale. I love it. It's gonna be my new favorite spot for screenshots
