Cyrene May 15th Patch Notes

Kris | Cyrene

Lo and Behold, the Fixer of Bugs
Staff member
In the Hub & Arenas, the right mouse button shooting only when you have target has been disabled, removing the auto clicker advantage.

The missing creature spawns in the A.R.C. areas have been restored, as well as increase creature spawns in many areas on Cyrene.

The following missions should now be able to be completed again:
  • Lord Psycidon
  • Regent Halbird
  • Clearing the Den
  • Hollingsworth's Other Task!
  • "Scary" Hackfin
  • L.T.'s Viewing Pleasure
  • Helping Harwell
  • Guy's Mission
  • Dr. Nikolo's Bug Problem
  • Merfolken Beach Head?
  • Destroy the robot menace
  • Gathering Parts

I think this is the best update ever released.

I have sent 100s of supportcases about rightclick.

I myself used it, because you had to use it to have a chance in PVP. And no, ffs, it has nothing to do with autoclickers, i mean wtf? All there was to it, was to rapidly, spam the right mouse button as fast as you can. You dont need a damn autoclicker program for that. Maybe some people who dosent have fingers used it?

So yea, finally! Now i dont have to explain to everyone new to pvp that i meet in the arena how rightclicking works :D

very very very bad for hunters, please make MA only use it in PvP fights or if they cant do that at least ONLY in the Hub

I cant see how its bad for hunters? Before VU10 there never was rightclicking. How hard is it to shoot something that is still? And if it for some reason is a moving mob, why not use "move to target?"

If you can't see that, I'll explain. First of all, and thats only a tiny problem, you can't use your range optimal. Worse is the fact that if you miss (and contrary to your statement some mobs, like scout mobs 100 or whatever they are called, move like hell) you will still shoot, and waste ammo. Worse, if you use right click to loot, and you miss, beceause of various reasons, you will shoot on a dead mob, and waste more ammo. I am used to loot mobs while they die. NEVER a problem on cally, but on cyrene lots of mobs, like the tiny scout mobs 100 require very precise targetting for looting. I wasted shitloads of ammo this way, so yes it is VERY bad for hunters, and besides it is not according to the changes descripted in the VU, so it is a bug, so it should be changed. I don't think the latest updates are very motivating for players to explore the planet. Cyrene can be a really nice planet, but mistakes in updates (like we reduced the spawn...tot ZERO) is not the way you treat players wo are the first to get your planet running.

If you read other forums(as I bet you do if you been here since those days) it's all explained there so I dont need to repeat myself, and "move to target" is the worst crap ever.
Also Sjimmie already wrote some things for you to consider...

Look here and I explain a bit but others done it even better on PCF's long threads

Okey, i can uderstand its annoying. Iam just afraid they will enable it again, because it has hurt PVP from the day VU10 was released. So lets hope they find a better solution, without just going back to how it was.

Maybe just in PVP-zones as you said.

OK Szent, I understood from another post here that the HUB is dead. It is true? The right-click removal annoyed A LOT of players who don't have anything to do with PVP. It is explained very well on PCF that many people, maybe with not so up-to-date gaming systems, have a lot of shooting through the mob and failed looting leading to spent ammo. Ranges are messed up too, thus the implementation of "move to mob" I guess. Also EU is not a PVP game by excellence, there are a lot of people hunting out there with low targeting skills. It just became very expensive for them to hunt.

Shooting at a health bar could be fun in the '90s, not in 2012. So your 100 support cases probably morphed now into 1000 support cases from 1000 unhappy players. The fix should be for pvp only, or better yet for player target, not the mob target.

It will attract new PVP-ers into the game with natural human reactions that can beat the skilling system of the game (aka ubers), while keeping the majority of players happy.

Yea thats what i said in my latest post. I dont want it to destroy the game for other players. They should come up with a creative fix, not just a quick fix.
