I don't think the Cyrene team could realistically have any other reaction unfortunately.
When the PP system was designed, the idea was that Mindark would sell off Calypso, and only work as a platform provider, having no reason to favor one planet over another.
With the fall of that model and...
Did that change recently? I do seem to remember our bait getting consumed when we killed the Queen after I completed the mission for my BP S1X4 - but then again, that was some time ago.
Old whips will make more sense once we'll be able to tame larger creatures - right now they are overkill since all the tamable mobs have very low health.
Badly worded on my part. I meant I agree with Sluggo ;)
Get a Mentor and graduate as a disciple. You get a free vehicle and armor that way, plus (in theory) a ton of knowledge.
When you graduate you will get the discipleship armor that will last you a loooooooong time, especially when you add plates on it in the future. Cyrene should get its own version of Disciple armor soon, if not you'll get the default one.
A very rough marker when starting is to consider your...
Hope you added 'lyst and oil' all over :P
Hopefully after the lyst fields have dried out we might start getting sweetstuff and the enmats used for enhancers.
It's been a regular occurrence that new server areas (and new planets) only drop oil and lyst at first. Annoying as heck, but not something new or particular to Cyrene. Hopefully soon the resources will balance out.
That is a tough one to answer. Planet Partner updates are modulated by MA, and usually postponed - just like this update that according to both Ark and Calypso officials has been pushed deep into October. Keeping in mind that the live server always seems for some reason to generate more bugs...
The way I've understood it, Cyrene isn't actively trying to bring new players in and won't start till the official release, where most of the bugs have been ironed out and the planet is at their targeted level of quality.
While this does indeed bring up problems to the pioneers of the planet...
Heh, even if I wasn't a huge noob, I suck so much at PvP that everyone would run circles around my dead body over and over :) The idea of the HUB is hugely appealing - equal skills, equal equipment at least at the start. But for some it doesn't work, since not everyone has all the weapons maxed...
I do agree with both, although it seems that some resources come as a 'pack', so we'll either have to get the full range of global ores and enmats or none at all. And for one, I do appreciate the clean fields we have now.
