Holiday spawn event? re: Cyrene Mini Patch Notes - December 13th 2016

In the patch notes Kris posted:
"A new holiday spawn event will be started closer to Christmas, which will drop holiday themed weapons for a limited time."

Players ask about that event daily in Cyrene chat and keep getting told nothing yet.
So before logging in tonight wondering just how close to Christmas and when/where??

 

Christmas is in two weeks, isn't it?

The MM will be (edit) almost over by then, too. (it ends on Jan 10)

While we're at it... The ability to spawn only one in connection with the cooldown timer made for yet another camping/hogging opportunity which of course attracted the usual suspects I remember. Is it going to be different this time? I have little patience with this kind of thing, neither has my soc if I call a team together and make them travel through space only to find the opportunity blocked again and again. Therefore still have my previous years' summoning tokens. No, I'm not selling them to people with stronger elbows. Will likely get more dust catchers when they arrive. At least Old Holiday looks cute from the distance

A different place had its event NPCs (activation?) removed (for a while) during the recent update and there have been problems around activations in general for quite some time now.

As I understand the probable logic of an increasingly complicated universe, many activities can now be enabled/disabled behind the scenes without a version update being required. I agree with this layer being in place, but there must surely be a higher level of planning and implementation of switching on/off than "it will be done when somebody at MA gets round to it". User rights management and yes, control over your own events!

 

Kris, are you alone to work for Planet Cyrene? You program the game, you answer to the community, you are the link between Planet Cyrene and MA, i bet you do more things in background.

If i am right i understand more things now, and i know why all things take alot time.

I'm with you, but please, ask to the Planet Cyrene boss some help ! You can't do all

Anyways no worries, plus still plenty to do on Cyrene.

 

Even later I would enjoy an event on Cyrene.
