My thoughts about HUB

So i tried Proving Grounds arena. First impressions - awesome - 10% decay, entrance fee only 10 sweat, speed increase bonus after using First Aid Pack, FREE TOKENS!!!!. But after spending 2 days there picking tokens, healing whenever i could just to get that awesome 7 second speed boost and fighting with non just because we could and it was fun, some adjustments came in my mind.

First - in my opinion tokens shouldn't spawn when there is no one in that area. Right now if no one has been there for a few hours then the first person who gets there will be able to pick at least 3+ PED in tokens. It shouldn't be like that. Better make it that token spawning activates when there is at least 1 person inside.

Second - after fighting with different players for several hours i came to conclusion that it is pointless to try and kill anyone because you can just use First Aid Pack with 40/40 heal + speed boost and you can survive anything. Healing rate and speed is just so high that right now there is no way to kill other player with TT weapons unless he is standing still in one spot (even w/o armor). I would advise to reduce healing power by half on TT medkit. Or maybe make it so uneco that it wouldn't pay up to use it all the time because right now attacker will be the one who will loose in fights no matter what.

Third - teleporting to a magical locked room while trying to enter pvp area. Today me and non had some difficulties with that because we got teleported to that room up to 3 times straight. It's frustrating - i wonder why is it even there - what is the point of that tiny room with 2 stairs and no way out except standing still or falling under the map and pressing T.

Fourth - we don't get enough skills to max melee HUB only knife that we got for finishing mission.

Fifth - didn't tried it yet but i think it is possible to tier items in HUB. At least i could open tier upgrade console and also all stackables are usable so i'm guessing it could work. Level 34 Tier Upgrader could make a difference for some bigger items.

Might add something more in time but this is all i got from these 2 days.

P.S. non is cooking in HUB again. Almost got me

 

First, Why would you even suggest that?
Second, Medkit is fine, maybe slow down the speed increase as its a pain in the arse to get kills but possible just ask Non, who I chased around the Hub for good 3 minutes before he finally died.
Third, Open up the hub even Bigger!
Fourth, Yeah that's pretty annoying

good job on the hub cyrene

there are issues. but its a grand time.

dont think i have spent more than an hour or 2 of game play outside of it for 4-5 days

 

First.. I cant say it better then Master Cheif !
Second.. Learn to aim and its easy, its pvp not a mob you try to kill :S And the Speed buff is perfectly fine. maybe a litle faster so you can enjoy it more!
Third ???????? .. If you walk all the way jump down you die instant.. and you walk in again.. but sure fix it..
Fourth, fix it plz

I love the hub, perfect to kill of some time, jump around.. Blow yourself up

Exactly. Spending PED for 3 minutes just to take down 1 player who will be back after 10 seconds while he spent only few PEC is not really fun.

What to aim if the person healing himself is out of your weapons range in 3 seconds?

I have never died from that jump. Maybe you have less HP than me because i get only ~95HP damage from that fall.

Thank you everybody for your feedback about the HUB (and everything else).

We are looking to improve things all the time and your opinions and points of view are very valuable to us - because you are the users and have the every day experience =)

 

You can take up to 56 damage with crit.. anyway, direct hit about 15-30 damage, shotgun you can hit 5 times under time it take to heal 1 time.. So damage 75-150 if all hit.. and you heal 40... So is it your aim or chose of Rifle/pistol.
and if more ppl would be in The hub as its planed, 40hp is low.. 2 ppl shot with that damage.. no chance.. go grab a team and kill around

Have you check that you get a speed buff from the fap?, have you not see the decay when useing fap outside of arena?.. Its not meent to use it outside, so when you enter you have low hp, so 10hp and you take ~95HP Damage, you imortal? Thats -80HP after land.. If not stupid and heal before :S

I even shot myself to enjoy the speed buff So fun to use.. anyway back to game to continue do so

It happens also when you have just entered HUB and also when you teleport out of arena and then return - in these cases you have full HP.

 

Get a rocket and damage yourself to 0.0 hp then jump off the cliff
If you suicide, no lose of sweat.. problem fixed

I think i know why we sometimes teleport to that sealed room. I checked the normal arena and there is a spawn point in that room. In Proving Grounds that room is sealed off but could be that the spawn point is still active.

having to replace my implant each time is a pain. just a minor annoyance.

 

You think thats bad? should of seen the impac plant decay 4.99 everytime to install it when you go into places like The HuB, Ancient Greece, or The Thing. So not that bad.

basically I went in, and there were three players in there, one on each spawn point, not even talking to eachother, certainly not pvping..

i started pvping and they lashed out verbally? telling me to and I quote "Leave us alone"

yup, I didnt feel welcome so I left, leaving them to carry on picking up tokens and not pvping. Wasnt fun from my pov..

infact, they probably are peopel who slag of pirates calling them parasites etc, when in actual fact they are the real parasites because pirates are atleast playing the game in a more sportsmanlike manner..

So my solution would be to kick em out after no shots fired in a certain amount of time maybe. Or something.
It may seem like its working now but I think by promoting a more fun and sportsmanlike atmosphere it would be much better...?
