Any plans for some melee options in faction vendors?

    Yes, my primary profession is swordsman, so perhaps this is a bit selfishly motivated, but any chance we could see some melee options at some point in the faction vendors?

    Guns are all that are currently available. Additionally the epic mission rewards include no melee options either...unless you count the Zyn'kimbro Fishing Spear with its <10 DPS.

    When you're lucky enough to loot one of the (L) or UL weapon vouchers it sure would be great to have some melee wep options at the vendors, with comparable dmg/stats to the guns. I'd like a Cyrene sword I can use vice a gun I'd probably just sell or not even redeem a voucher for in the first place. Also, any plans for additional factions? e.g. 4, 5 ?

    Hey Ostrander,

    We didn't want to add any additional weapons to these vendors (or adjust much in the way of rewards) until we had resolved the issues of players not being able to get these weapons into their hands and not have to camp these vendors + making sure the vouchers were dropping.

    Now that this is mostly resolved it's something that we can see about with MA.

    Yes, there are more faction plans for A.R.C., as well as a few other factions on Cyrene. However, similar to the above it felt bad to add additional rewards for things that players already had a hard time getting the rewards from. There are plans for higher ranks as well as other factions in the future.

    Great news, thanks! It does seem like the voucher drops are about right, they should be fairly hard to come by imo to maintain the integrity of the system. Also good to hear about new/more factions coming, I look forward to that roll out in the future...definitely a good reason to keep plugging away to reach Faction 3 :)

    This is good to know. I also main a swordsman (as if that wasn't obvious from my videos), thus the more varied and interesting longblades I can field, the better! :)

    I didn't know there was a spear on Cyrene! I'll have to check that out!
