Space : Cyrene SS Training Ground...

As title says all...Cyrene planet need to have an space Training Ground...

Is very disappointing to count more Toulan or NI for scheduled daily warp's and when someones ask from Cyrene always can get scammed why never count this Space Station...

Anyway for u devs ...Kris ...if ur problem is the mobs to fill this TG u have a very good mob for this ...Sky Wraiths-->Space Wraiths...beautiful-elegant Unique in all EU mobs to implement...(only in Cyrene SS Training Ground...)...

from the chat we were having on #Cyrene, I still like the idea of Imperium Starships guarding cyrene. This could be given loot that can craft either Mech (when ingame) or space capable ship

 

It is not the planet partner's "problem" since space is managed by MA. Their devs are the ones to talk to. I only heard about this and can't verify... There already was a unique creature called Hermit living in this neck of space which got removed when Cyrene came into being. Doesn't make sense to me as there isn't a lack of space in space, but this is the story. Spacers would certainly be attracted if it came back.

What if this was the problem? So far all training grounds are the same. A new or unique mob would be a unique advantage which might be seen as unfair from the other side. But as it is now, as only planet having no TG at all is a unique disadvantage. This can't be by accident, can it? I don't think it would be much effort to mark a zone just like everywhere else and populate it with the Horrors. What keeps them from doing at least that?

Here we go again, we had these ping-pong answers before. Space is space and planet is planet, is what was said elsewhere. Actually we have no way of telling who is right. Do PP's get power over the part of space at their front door?

I said we have no way of being sure since there obviously is conflicting information from two different sources, both official. I've mentioned this before, but to no resolution. In the meantime everybody just chooses to remember and quote the version they like best, but this isn't getting us any closer to the truth.

I'm afraid we may need a better argument. We want it because it currently isn't there and that's odd because every other planet has one. But is it really any more than a matter of pride? Does any one of us have a stake in space hunting, and if yes why right here? Is there a mothership too many in desperate search for a home turf to keep its repairers happy? I don't see any of these. And short of providing a home for a business that searches one, or any unique property about it to create interest, there is no motivation to even lift a finger. It wouldn't earn them a cent. My suggestion was the Hermits. But this too is a weak point, since it is entirely MA terrain and the petition here misplaced. We need to justify why CYRENE needs a TG and how this would trickle down to benefit the whole.

 

Most motherships won't come to be based here unless there is a Welding Wire Remix Blueprint (L) that uses at least one local material, so that they have to import no more than one. There's a reason they all hang around Ark (most these days) or RT. Well, Normandie hangs out in the middle of space, you could attract them with a unique mob.

But I think you nailed it.
So without a better justification/economy to have a TG now, then Cyrene likely won't get one till after hard launch.

 

Now there might be a possible idea for applying leverage. Can't justify it for Cyrene alone, but how about a Welding Wire Remix Blueprint for every planet which currently isn't represented. One with a Cyrene material, one for Next Island (Dark Lysterium), one for Monria and even one for the Arabs. The series could be extended to all possible combinations of two. Might need a kind of Union of the Outer Planets to lobby. Not sure if Ark and Rock would oppose it since they currently have the advantage. Sigh, politics everywhere.

Pride can often be associated with respect - or rather no pride results in no respect being shown by others. Individual points may only be frowned upon, but put many things together and they start to affect the very nature of relationships. I like the local welding wire ingredients idea, though! There are various identical stats items as local planet versions of other stuff, so a consumable like WW could be argued for too!

 

K.I.S.S. space flights do include Cyrene, though on an at request basis at present, owing to the low numbers needing a Cyrene pick-up or drop-off.
We charge the same amount as any other planet (10ped) and the terms and conditions for the rest of the flight are the same. Namely the 10 ped covers you for any remaining planets on our route that evening.
The only difference at the current time is that we do not remain at Cyrene for 15+ mins as we do at our main stops. But we are flexible, should the situation and customer numbers change in the future then this may change our timetable accordingly.
While we normally do at request stops after Rocktropia we will, if we have time, consider pick-ups on our way from Ark to Calypso.

As regards a new space training grounds at Cyrene, then so long as it is well populated with mobs, and a reasonable distance (flight time) from the SS, then I would be very interested in operating Kronan here a few days a week and at Arkadia the remainder.
