Planet Cyrene March 2015 VU Preview

Yes, I've not looked at the rest of the preview in detail, but I like the amount of pre-information, the style, the pics etc.
Compared to the past and other PPs I DO like the direction overall.

However, please do not wait for a consultation update with MA to answer again here. Also, please look at our suggestions seriously. You have already mentioned having events (maybe suggested to you by MA), but please realise that this is NO solution to cut off most people's efforts and just have a 'few' winners to get their set still in the future.

But once again, ty for mentioning the idea to us, even if we respond a big no-no to it!

Edit: can someone who really knows please quickly tell us about the real durability differences in terms of protection/pec between (L) and unL?
I know (L) gives full protection all the way down until broken, but I believe the durability stats are not quite what they seem on (L). Info appreciated even if a bit off-topic - it is relevant to the planned changes though....

 

So Jetsina, you looked at the rest of the preview in detail and also saw that the new ranged weapon consume 10x too much ammo??
You must also agree with me that the vu must be postponed.

For unlimited armors, an extra 1000 durability decreases your decay by 1% (for the same damage absorbed). For limited armors, the effect of durability increases by even more and also increases for larger hits.

and one more thing! no1 noticed that the new L armor is NOT like the old UL one? dant have electric protection and acid is just 12 not 25!

 

Good catch, pre-vu preview bug found. Delay the VU by one month and i'm sure the majority of the people will be happy. 1 month is enough time to get the armor for those that already got over 100+ badges and completed all one time missions.

 

that's because the armor we got was the wrong one, it was meant for the imperium chain not arc. And probably wasn't going to be rank 1.

there is always a possibility it is reissued when the imperium chain is opened

 

Um, is that new L armour going to be available for TT value in unlimited amounts, to those who have made the rank? If so then any other armour (limited or unlimited) of about Jag level or below is going to be TT food soon.

Thanks for the link Thanatos. What I still don't get is how to work out decay in pecs per hit from the stats (the graph has pioneer, ghost, angel, shadow as unL examples, but doesn't really help me understand) Ah well.... better stay on topic I guess, ty anyway

edit: yes oleg, I smell another f*-up on costs. If tt cost in unlimited numbers, you could well be right, if cost is shrapnel then not much difference really and you are still right, if cost is tokens, then lol to that too!

For me, the importance is not that the UL or L is better. It's that I don't use limited armor. I only use UL because I cannot afford to buy limited armor often.

The reason I have choose to do the daily's is to get the UL armor and that the cost to buy it was distributed in a good time frame (one month and half).

My other armors are Viceroy (special Edition) that I have collected loots to get and Adjusted Pixie from the mentorship program.

Again, the disappointment was explained well by Jetsina : a contract is a contract.
Nobody ever told me that I will have peds positive at the end of the 200 badges BUT I will receive a UL armor.

There should be much more notice. There was no time limit so I was not in a rush, I was busy doing other things on Cyrene. Really there should be at least a month notice so people can bang it out if they want it. Really bad move, I'm sure it is forced by MA, but MA should have more concern for the effect on the planet. Even if MA forced it people will still have a negative impression of Cyrene.

 

Please be delayed at least 8 days! I will be absolutely crushed if I miss that armor!

 

All i can say: ouch

While i already have the armor, and the changes are positive for myself, i can imagine the uproar it causes.
In the end i think the UL armor has less impact on the economy and crafters then the purchasable limited armor has, so i don't really understand that change.

This will be a good lesson for the cyrene team: the closer you get to hard launch and the more people come to the planet the less forgiving the playerbase is. It's no longer a few dozen enthousiasts, that have understanding of the greater good. It's people who come with other expectations and rightfully don't expect the rules to change in the middle of the game.

So be sure you and MA thought enough about the new rewards and make sure they don't change again.

To all the people that won't make it: Please give Kris some time to work on things. The benefit of Cyrene's early communication is that there might still be time to rethink some decisions made.

A side question: Will the (L) and UL gun be restocked after the VU?

and a totally selfish and inappriopiate question: will the max tt of the female footguards get fixed in the VU?

 

This is a planet killer...If you allow MA to do this, you are letting them KILL YOUR PLANET.

I just sold my MM armor 3 days ago and THIS was the main reason!!!

As far as MA and Cyrene goes, THIS WILL BE THE THING THAT MAKES ME QUIT FOREVER IF YOU DON"T FIX IT!!!

On a minor nitpicking note, having an 800 HP 'puny' mob is likely to cause misunderstanding and annoy at least some people. I understand it's 'puny' relative to other Mang Chang but people are used to 'puny' meaning 10 HP.

You really think the armor won't be sold out instantly and 24/7 like the 2.H.T.S? Because they will be. The mere fact that they are tradeable and TTable means I will buy ALL of them if I could for tier rates/resale.

NO ONE WILL GET ANYTHING NOW, THERE IS ZERO REWARD.

 

Well post #6 states they should be unlimited supply
its sucks for the players so close and I hope kris comes to an agreeable solution, like leaving a set amount in vendor then don't restock
