Wandering Mobs

    After this VU it seems that all mobs in the universe remembered they have feet and started using them, moving around way more than they usually did.

    Thing is, Cyrene mobs that already liked taking their long walks have also been amped - and the outcome is simply hilarious.

    Tried hunting some Mang Chang earlier at the beach, and each every one of them started running away from me the moment I tagged them. Instead of choosing another only to see that turn its back on me too, I followed the tagged mobs. I run and followed them. Further, and further, and further... in the end I gave up and used a vehicle to catch up :)

    Have to admit that's more exercise than my avatar has seen in a bit :D


    p.s. Fit mobs do not seem to have more loot than usual despite their obviously increased carrying capabilities.

    I will have to ask MA what sort of changes happened to the mobs from this last patch to see how to combat it for when the partner VU comes.

    Guess we'll have to wait and see if this is a permanent change or one more of the unforseen bugs that came with VU 14.9.

    BTW, any rough idea on when the next PP VU will be?

    As a powerfister, I certainly spend much more time running in circles.
    I'm either running after a mob, (or running to the edge of the spawn with my own mobtrain to avoid additional aggros).

    Perhaps I'll change my profession to Jogger. :D

    You guys should see how the Chirpy and Gibnib (on Calypso) run now :)) When I get the daily mission for them I need to start shooting only when I am near them because they run so fast and not even with rifles you cant kill them. They were changed somehow.

    I remember when chirpies were difficult to hunt (as they would run as soon as they were hit once), but they could be sweated with no reaction.

    Then that was switched. Sweating was impossible unless they were chased into a corner, and hunting became a turkey shoot (chirpy shoot?)


    Perhaps Mob AI was reverted? My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I believe Cyrene came after that change.

    Regardless, I hope that Mobs on Cyrene can be adjusted. For now, I must adapt my hunting style.

    I for one hope that tomorrow's maintenance will bring things back to normal. Sky and Sea wraiths are now next to impossible to hunt.

    Nice... so once again it seems MA fixed something that really wasn't broke.
    Lets hope they do reset this. I also noticed that they tweaked loot again, very horrible weekend on cyrene all around sadly and shooting blp now a lot more evades then normal... not happy.

    tried to hunt some weeds at zyn village today with melee spent alot of time running after mobs only to see then scale a cliff and be forced to run back the other way...

    nice bit of frustration as a welcome back.

    wow just noticed that i joined cyreneforums 2 years ago yesterday :)
