    Thanatos wrote in another thread......
I don't think that a new player coming to Cyrene should be expected to read a year's worth of forum posts, VU release notes, and spend hours chatting in-game before questioning something. That's just not fair.
My first post on the loot of the boss summoned with a cube got blasted with a shit storm of ignorance. The Jellyworm looted as intended. It was not bugged. It is SUPPOSED to loot blueprints. I wanted to know WHY Cyrene would put worthless blueprints in something that is supposed to be "pretty special" for hunters. Kris answered my questions. Unfortunately not before the "locals" grabbed their pitch forks and started ranting about me not reading the forum... me bitching about something that's been knowingly bugged for a long time.... bla bla bla. They didn't even stop to think that maybe it wasn't a bitch about a bug at all. They figured that because SOME bosses are bugged then that must be my problem and started mouthing off about it. So the very first post I made that turned into shit is a PRIME example of what MindStar speaks about. I knew the risks of ending up with a boss that may dissappear after it gets killed... but we didn't get that boss. There are others that aren't looting properly. We didn't get those either. We got probably the ONLY boss that is working as intended. Yet it was a bug bitch thread? No.... it was someone new stepping out into the open and being blatantly STONED by the locals.

I think in my situation you're being a bit excessive here. I mean... I understand you've all talked about the broken stuff for the past year and feel that you dont' need to hear it from a new player to Cyrene.... but unfortunately it's gonna happen m8. Move to a non broken planet if you don't wanna hear newcomers saying "WTF?". (By the way there are none so don't bother packing. :p )

I'd also like to point out that by the time I had finished spending my first $1000 U.S. on planet Cyrene I don't think I had seen any of you here yet. (Doesn't mean you weren't here... just means you weren't that noticable.) I don't know how many of you have been here since day one actually PLAYING (I know there was a blast of people that explored when the planet first opened). Maybe all of you have. Maybe none of you have.

Since day one I have said that I wanted to "move" to Cyrene. Only now is it becoming viable economically for me to do so. Embrace the new players to Cyrene. They will only increase your returns (AFTER MU.) in the long run!

    Cheers,

EDIT: I'd also like to add, that I don't think I deserve preferential treatment because I spend money like an idiot. I want to make it clear though, that I'm one of the few that spend money like an idiot who WON'T take my loots away to another planet! Even when I came here in the past to hunt. I spent until it was all gone and I needed to deposit again before I left. I don't loot goodness and run away with it.

I don't think there's much of an issue. And I don't think Thanatos is a bad guy at all (though I think he and Thoth shared some opinions). I just didn't agree with that post (in a respectful manner) and didn't wanna post anymore in that thread.

First of all, good u started another thread not to side track clothing stuff, but also not good, cuz i dont want to contiune that topic.
i presented how do i look at that, u can agree or not, it doesnt matter to me atm, im just telling u guys, Mindstar mostly, how i see that.

btw u said u didnt notice me while u were spending ur 1k$ on hunting... its just funny for many reasons. Decide plz about the quality level of discussion u want to make here.
if u feel that me asking u not to cry was so offensive to allow ur friend to call me a jerk, its clear that we cant get along.
anyway i think my reply in ur topic was quite constructive, even if there was something like "quit crying/biching/etc mode plz". i said that, cuz using CAPITALICS in written text is like shouting, so it can be took a bit offensive, and take a part in missunderstanging eachother, so obviously happened... for some reason u do this in every post.

Caps are also used to Emphasize. And since you can't hear my voice on a forum... I use caps to emphasize certain words. See in English (Western English anyway) we use the tone of our voice to emphasize and make certain words or statements mean something slightly... um.... not "different" but... I guess we emphasize in order to come across differently? If that makes sense? We really speak a weird language over here in all honesty...

Just like I use "....." to insinuate a "pause" between words, simply to depict my tone.

Well I still feel like a meat head... but hey... I like this game. I just think my 35k U.S. in 5 yrs could have been spent a bit better. See here's the problem... anyone else who's spent the kind of money I spent would have angel armor and adj fap and a mediocre UL SIB gun by now.... I'm worthless. ROFL
