Official Cyrene Event Talk like a Pirate Day! (September 19th 2016)

But glad to see an "event" for Cyrene, it will be better an in game event

Ahhh! theres nothin' like th' smell 'o Wiles 'n Muck Jaw in th' mornin' wouldn't ye shout pleakie?

I find myself wonderin' what keeps me at sea 'tis long? be it th' skreechin' 'o th' merfolken that drive me off th' shores? One thin' ye may quicky find out on 'tis menacin' planet ye call Cyrene be simply that thar simply be no lovely booty.
Could it be that an evil scurvy pirate by th' moniker Lilmc grasp it all? I be not one to jump to conclusions me bein' who i be bein' who i reckon i fight myself to be.. sometimes... but it seems all too obvious, not to point hooks 'o course..

wheres me spiced rum pleakie? I lost me ship 'o thought..

Maybe it be th' clashin' waves comin' from th' Isle de Zel..
One must only ponder on th' fact that thar must be treasure that hail from th' land broadside. I must end 'tis log entry, me quil be almost out 'o ink..

Water drippin' o' Hec's cloths he slowly walked out o' t' surf. Along t' beach n waters he started lookin' ter-n-fro and until alais he did spotted his soakin' wet yet faithful pet Bunbunzilla a hoppin' towards him. "Tis a fine mess Bunbun but I 'magine yer nutrio bars mades it alrights." Hec reached in his pouch shortly did threw a few on t' bright sandy beach where Bunbun the ever hungry Corinthian Kanin which noisily n' right smartly ate inna blur.

Lookin' aft in t' sea Hec spots a school o' old hackfins but t' surprisin'ly quicks lone horned whiskerfish was nowhere t' be seen. Under his breath he did mutters "one day!" With t' nutrio bars eaten t' two stand silently under t' hot sun. After a few minutes Hec dids looks at Bunbun "Well... that's t' smartly and easy life for yar, easy come easy go rights Bunbun! We shouldna' ave agreed t' help that oddly Zyn fisherman."

"Let's head out t' that ol' supply depot." The two turned and walkin' down t' beach. All the while keepin' an eye open for ground fruit for Bunbun when he suddenly stopped. There stood a right smartly dressed stranger before him. "Hi I'm Lilmc, would yer have any doubloons by chance?" t' stranger said. Hec replied "Um doubloons? As in Cyrene mission tokens?", "Aye how many yer gots?" asked Lilmc. Hec decided t' play along he looked in his doubloons pouch for a moment and said he'd 8 even though he had more then that. Lilmc scratched his head for a moment "well guessin' I could give yer 1 magic bean for those 8 doubloons".

"Magic bean!" Hec said with surprise and suspicion. Lilmc smiled warmly "aye tis magic but best to be careful whatcha yer do wit' dem." And thar in t' palm o' Lilmc's hand was a type o' bean Hec never saw before it was awash in a swirl o' colors and seem t' glow slightly. And without thinkin' Hec did grabbed 8 doubloons and handed them over t' Lilmc. "Best o' luck." Lilmc said with a laugh as he dissappeared in a swirlin' cloud o' dust and light. Hec looked at t' bean but thar was nothin' t' be learned about it so he did stuffed it in his doubloons pouch and whereupon forgots it for several days.

Carnap's Landin' was a fair n' safe harbor on a large windswept remote northern isle. Just north o' t' Carnap settlement and just among t' trees barely visible in dusk's last golden rays o' sunlight was Hec who just did done his huntin' for t' day. "Let's head aft t' landin' Bunbun." he did say whilst lookin' over his should at his pet. Walkin' aft Hec started arangin' his gear and opened t' doubloons pouch. "Ah... what a fool I was, no more shimmer t' that there bean and t' colors all but faded t' a coppery gold." Over his shoulder did t' bean gets flicked. "Comeon Bunbun tis gettin' dark so let's get us some shuteye."

Groggily Hec woke up and half remember some o' t' merry makin' everyone did at t' local pub that night. He looked at t' window and thought its still dark outside. Or could be reale earlie still, or thar's a big storm brewing outside. After a few Hec got out o' bed, walked t' t' window, and pushed t' curtains aside.
"What the!!!" a shocked Hec did loudly exclaimed. And thar not far from Carnap's Landin' buildings was a gigantic bright green tree that seemed t' stretch up, up, up, way past t' clouds where it did disappeared. "Bun Bun quick!" Hec yelled as he grabbed his gear an' hopped out t' door with 1 shoe on and t' other in his hand. As t' door slammed shut behind him Hec realized t' squawkin' sound was from Bunbun racin' out ahead o' him towards t' odd massive green tree.

After a few minutes t' two breathlessly reached t' base o' t' tree. "Well tis like nothin' seen before but it sure does looks like we canna climb it Bunbun." And so t' two started climbin' and climbin' and climbin'. Soon they could see nothin' but clouds and t' green trunk nearest them. This be crazy we'll soon be on the moon thought Hec. And shortly after he did noticed t' tree seemed t' turn towards a metallic gray ledge ahead o' him. Bravely he took a step onto t' grey ledge and as if by magic t' clouds disappeared and thar before Hec was...

"Sky Labs!" roared Hec "Why that scurvy merchant! Magic beans he said!", "Squeek Squeek" Bunbun smartly chirped in reply. "Yeah, yer right... least we didn't end up as lunch for some fishy scalywag Skreel."

So Wallin recounted his ‘venture down south, ‘ere ‘e met a behemoth yon foul’th
“A billeyworm! A big’un, e’s fast!” He shout’ed as ‘e ran fer’ his ass
“Me donkey! ‘Bout tah get ette’n! I best grab a blaster or soon I be frettin”


So yon he did booked, away did ‘e hurry, for if’n yah know, bileworms they be scary!
“I shoot from me hip! Nay do I aim! For billeyworms be big as all day!”
A-blast! A-snap! The wee beastie was down’ned, and Wally he did jump a’bound
“Horray is me day! The loot I do carry! More ifn’ me ass wasn’t hairy”
But ‘lo did he pick when a wee little monkey, scrambled from the bushes in a hurry


T’was Lilmc! The fuzzy mon’key! A bane of ‘ere man and weemon who loot
For ifn’ ye ask me, he smelled like old boots
Quick with his knapsack, fuzzy hands did a sneakin’; Poor Wallys loot done got eat’n!
“Belay that yer little monk-ke-ke! Tis mah loot you be creepin’!”
“Ook!” and a “Eek!” the monkey did squeak, but left any loot? Not’in a ceeent


So Wallin did weep in his drink, he did cry like a lady, as Rose she be laughin’ just likin’ a baby
A pat on his back and order’d two drinks ‘ere, she was a friend’in he held quite dear.
So They drank till they puked (Tho Wallin did most’in) and away the night went


What of Lilmc ye do ask mee little ‘uns? Why relaxin’ and restin’ inside his a’bode
Covered in toe tah head with his gold
The morale of story we both quite know well;
Loot Lilmc and we’ll be rich as ‘ell!!

This probably breaks about three of four rules but at least someone might have fun counting the meme references

Seriously though kinda surprised there wasn't more people writing just for fun but I enjoyed reading the stories and San finding out talk like a pirate day is a real thing. (pssst I looked it up too.)
Hmm... but now for some strange reason kinda worried Lilmc might give me a magic bean.
